What does JAAR do?

JAAR is a charity that aims to prevent and heal the trauma of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse, providing support for victims in Jersey and their families.

It also wants to raise awareness about the crime of rape and to remove the stigma of rape.


What help is available?

JAAR is not an emergency service. Instead, it provides counselling and support.

Free counselling sessions are available by qualified counsellors, who have been specially trained to help survivors and their family deal with the trauma of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse

There is a helpline covered by trained volunteers. All calls are completely confidential.
