Any company or individual who wishes to carry out a business or give a service in Jersey should contact the Population Office to find out about the permissions that are needed.

Application for a Hawker’s Licence
A hawker is someone who goes from door to door
- selling or offering to sell or
- buying or offering to buy
goods or services.
For a full definition of the law see Part 7 under the ‘Interpretation’ section.
Anyone wishing to sell or buy goods or services as a hawker will need a Hawker’s licence
You can download an application form from the website. Check the application form for terms and how much any fees will cost.
