JT Global rental tariff

1.  For information or to change tariffs, contact 882882 or visit the Jersey Telecom website at www.jtglobal.com/Jersey/

2.  There is a 24 hour freephone service which gives the customer up to date charge information for any call. Dial 0800 735 2468, then key in first few digits of the number they wish to call. Rate per minute of different tariffs for the area are given automatically. International, national, mobile and premium rate services included.

Disputed bills

3.  If you have normal paper bills, it is possible to request an itemised bill. Full itemisation of all calls can be provided to customers at a monthly charge of £1.50. If you have paperless billing and manage your account online, itemisation is free.

Telephone Rental Discounts

4.  Prime Talk tariff, for senior citizens, monthly line rental £1.90 (inc GST) per month. Calls to local landlines charged at 5p per call.

5.  JT Global are also able to offer an incoming calls only service at a discounted quarterly rental. The ability to dial emergency numbers is still available on this service.

Telephone services for the disabled

7.  JT Global operate a service to provide a directory enquiries facility for the sight impaired in conjunction with Eyecan. Applications must go through Eyecan at Westlea Centre,

8.  A similar service is available for people who cannot hold or handle a telephone directory, and these applicants are often recommended by the Occupational Therapy Department at Overdale, who have to countersign the application form for the free service.

Users will be issued with a PIN number which the operator will ask for.

Deposits

9.  A deposit of £20 - £50 will be taken from subscribers who are new to the Island, or who have not had a telephone before according to their `credit rating`.
