What does the Variety Club do

The Variety Club of Jersey raises money for underprivileged children in Jersey. They provide Sunshine coaches, food parcels/vouchers, clothing, medical equipment, Christmas gift vouchers, medical/orthopaedic equipment, nursery equipment and coal.

How do they raise money

Money is raised in many ways. The main event of the year is the Bikeathon. There are monthly lunches with raffles which raise a great deal of money. The annual Gold Heart Day is held on February 14. They also receive help from Ladies of Variety, Young Variety and the Jersey Artistes Monday Club.

How to apply for help

Telephone 856937 or fax 857097. CAB advisers see application form.

Food Vouchers / Vouchers for nappies

Vouchers are provided for families in need.

The food vouchers can be redeemed at Checkers Superstore in Bath Street only. They will make up food parcels whilst the client waits. Clients should report to the Customer Enquiries Counter, not the check-out tills.

There are three sizes of food parcels: 1) mother and child, 2) small families and 3) large families. There should be enough food in the parcel to last three days.

Note: The vouchers for nappies can be redeemed at Boots the Chemist in Queen Street.
