Jersey Citizens Advice Bureau - Bound over to leave the island ( 4.6.0.L11 )

The Magistrate can pass a sentence requiring a defendant to leave the island for a stipulated period. This is a voluntary sentence as the defendant has to agree to the terms of the Bounding over order. Jersey residents can have such a sentence passed on them, although in practice this rarely happens.
